Update: Construction of the drinking water treatment plant is proceeding according to plan.

Leipzig/Xuan Mai, August 5, 2025 –

Despite temperatures exceeding 40°C, construction of our water treatment plant continues to progress well. The main buildings are scheduled for completion by August 2025. The connecting pipes have already been completed, and installation of the filter gallery has begun. As a result, work on the construction site is increasingly shifting from earthworks to mechanical and electrical installations.

Delivery and assembly of both local and international components will begin in August. In close cooperation with our technology partner STRABAG AG, we are ensuring that construction progress and technical equipment are optimally coordinated.

Our dedicated team on site is working flat out to install and commission the plant on schedule – with the aim of providing safe drinking water that meets german quality standards for the people of Vietnam from 2026 onwards.

The project is being managed by our subsidiary AONE Deutschland AG as general planner and is part of the city partnership between Leipzig and Ho Chi Minh City. The project is a prime example of successful interdisciplinary cooperation, sustainable infrastructure development, and active international responsibility.

“We are delighted to be implementing our second water treatment plant in Vietnam. The partnership between Vietnam and Germany has grown steadily and healthily over the years, so we can look forward to the future with optimism and anticipate further promising projects.”
